Dont know if it was you are not Rocket, but I appreciate you getting rid of the Lee Roy Miles post. I know it was in the paper but its still a bad situation. Putting facts in a paper are a lot different than having your kids read others opinions about what they think about your father. I appreciate you for dumping it. Hopefully his kids didnt have to see it.

I did not see the post and it very well may have needed to be removed but I do think that since it was in the paper that there should be some discussion on the matter. I know it is a touchy subject and I really feel for the kid in this situation but IMHO it is not about the kid it is the adult that put himself in that situation. If the Adult did as the paper stated have possion of drugs while on the sideline of a Highschool ball game I have very little symphony for the guy and hope that they through the book at him. It is hard enough keeping kids on the strait and narrow path without authority figures muddying the water.
Again I did not see the post and if the Kid was being attacked then I am all for the removal of the post.
I agree with Counts Mega, I didn't take it down, I'd have kept a close eye on it and not let anybody turn it into an attack on the kid. I appreciate the issue, and how tough it is on the kid and the family, but thankfully, we're not all responsible for our relatives sins or mistakes.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
Who took it down? Someone needs to clarify why it was taken down. It was a matter of public record.

It should have been taken down as the poster was doing it to embarass the family involved since they play on the Burton team. The poster, Minivike1 had already commented on the incident in another post. Since it directly involved a kid in our area, it did not need to be discussed on this forum as it was. You guys need to use a little common sense. Just because it was in the newspaper doesn't mean it is appropriate for discussion on this forum. We can all read the paper.
And as someone stated, the man is innocent until proven guilty.
It was up for nearly an entire day, so I don't see how a moderator could not have seen it. If you didn't then there needs to be a more regular screening of items on this board.
Sportsman, speaking as a moderator of other boards, there are days when you are not on your computer. Don't blame Rock, Counts and others for it being up most of the day when they may not be online to look at things.
Luckily, I have a job where I have plenty of time at the computer to keep a check on things. Jobs, and family are much more important than the regulation of a sports forum.

If that was the intent of the post then it should have been taken down.
However being that it was in the paper it IMHO is open to discussion. I hate it for the kid but by the same token it brings up whether staffs in our Area need to screen Volunteer coaches better than they currently do? I know that I would not want that situation around my child.
I agree. If it is already in the papers, then there is no reason why we cannot discuss it here. As long as there is nothing regrading him or the situation.
